HOTS for 3rd Grade

Third grade is such a great age group to work with and they are very open-minded to trying new things, especially when it comes to using technology. Using a blog is a good way for them to write about what they are learning in class or to discuss learning experiences. They could blog about a classroom project or write about a recent book they checked out from the library. Blogging in a classroom is a great idea for the students to connect with each other's  thoughts and the teacher can see how they are growing through this creative writing practice. There is a really cool blog about a third grade class who blogs about different activities that give great blogging topics. HOTS is going into deeper thoughts and helps one to be more expressive and I think blogging is the perfect practice of that.
